Our Body

Karin Roppe had a great question for us, here is our answer.

Visit our Blog

Our Human Body Rap
Skeleton

Two hundred and six bones
Make my skeleton
So it gives me a form
So I am not like gelatin.
Bones
Red blood cells are made in
Bones.
The part called the marrow
They call home
My bones are strong
And there is nothing wrong
Some are short
some are long
Tibia, Femur, Humerous are just a few.
Clavicle, Sternum, Fibula too
Muscles
Our Muscles are critical
To help us be physical.
They allow is to move
And to groove
Our muscles stretch
And contract
And that’s a fact
Heart
Having a heart is a good start.
It can’t be missed,
It’s the size of my fist.
It’s job is to throb
And circulate blood
So it flows through my body
Like a permanent flood.
Lungs
When it comes to the lungs
You know where they are from
They are in my chest
And help me take a breath.
Brain
They call me the brain
I am in control
I can make you think
I can make you go.
Spine
I am connected to the spine
 Which is just fine
 Sending messages down the highway
 Now that’s my way.
Digestive System
Breaking down food after its chewed
  Isn’t rude, for this dude.
  Digestion isn’t a suggestion
  It makes sure your food
I'd going in the right direction.
  Down the esophagus
  Into the stomach
  Where it turns into mush
  The mush gets a lesson
  In the small intestine
  Where nutrients
  Are absorbed into our body.
  The left over mush
  Isn’t in a rush.
  The large intestine
  Is in charge
And that’s where number two comes from.
