207 GOES AROUND THE WORLD

Dear Family and Friends,

Many of my students have never left Philadelphia; I would love to create an experience for them where I can bring the world to them. I am trying to collect as many postcards from around the world as possible. As we collect postcards from around the world we will be posting where they came from on our interactive map. We will also look up the area and learn something about the area. If you would like to participate in this project please feel free to send a postcard to the following address:

Coming back September 2014

*Find a postcard that represents something iconic from your country or even better, from your city.
*Write on the back of the postcard.  This could be anything you like e.g. about your class, yourself, a tradition, etc.

I think this could be a wonderful learning opportunity for my students. What’s more, it provides a real purpose for writing, reading and learning about different places and cultures.

Thanks,

Jackie
